Why I’ll NEVER Do Business With Fidelity [My Bad Fidelity Customer Service Experience]
I just had one of the worst experiences ever with Fidelity. Yes, one of the most popular brokerages in the world – Fidelity Investments. I’m so glad that there are Vanguards and TD Ameritrades, and Schwabs out there that aren’t so freakin’ smug.

They closed my account with $5,000 in it and didn’t give me any reason for the closure. They also said I wouldn’t be getting my money back.
I just had this same exact thing happen with a Capital One 360 checking account! I am U.S. based, NEVER had any bounced checks, etc. and had just transferred $500 into the account via ACH. This was AFTER verification of myself and my wife as the joint account holder. I don't understand what is going on with these financial institutions. I can think of ZERO reasons why they would close a brand new checking and savings account. Insult to injury – just received the debit card which is useless. They told me not only could they not re-open or investigate further about the account but, that I've apparently been BLACKLISTED and can NEVER, EVER open an account for LIFE. Seriously?!?!

You are not being forthright with the guy on the phone. You told him you don't have any idea of why they closed your account but you do know why. You kept saying that you really don't know what happened (I counted 6 times) but you were not telling the truth. You knew their policy regarding overseas customers and yet you made the conscious decision to deceive them. Making a negative video about you being the victim is really not cool. I hope you have the forethought to make better decisions in the future. Have a great day.

Hello I am in the same position and I am unable to withdraw my money out of fidelity and they said to call back in 10 days to know if I will get my money back. What did you do and were you able to get your money back from fidelity?

I am currently having an issue with reassigning a lot from a trade I made a few weeks ago. After making the trade I tried to reassign the lot to a different date so that I could have a realized gain or profit but wasn't given an option. I immediately called Fidelity to explain what my intentions were and after giving them details they said they would make the changes. Here almost 2 weeks later and several more phone calls nothing has happened. I have since learned that when making a sell order there is a feature that allows reassignment of lots. Who knew? But now I have a new fear and that is because I've had so many eyes on my account what are the chances of someone from Fidelity trying to steal some $$ from my account since its quite a bit of $$ and how could I possibly know?
Fidelity is the worst trading platform, nothing but problems. Save yourself weeks of hassles and close your account asap.

Sorry to hear this. But. The "Why I'll NEVER Do Business With Fidelity" is pretty clear. They permanently closed your account. Not trying to rub it in but that's why.

That sucks, but you have to admit that from someone on the tech end; your account looks sketchy as hell. Oh here is a guy who has a japanese phone number, speaks english, is using an american address that isn't his, wiring money from a bank on the other side of the world, and getting his log in info wrong 3x. I feel ya man, but you know their fraud alert guys were looking at your activity every time you refreshed the page sweatin. You would think they would have a system sorted out for people who need to live overseas or do travel transactions for as large as they are. Though also can't fully fault them for playing it safe.

Bro, you made a ton of mistakes. You lied about your address. Had someone else open the account. Couldn't get your username right the first time you use it. They have the right to refuse service to a dump truck like you. Lol.
Thought about going with Fidelity but now I think not.
My Fidelity Rep lied and told me I could not move my 500 shares of SHOP to another IRA , you can do unlimited transfers , Because my Rep was an idiot I missed a $700,000 gain , the CFA he found sold my stock after repeatedly telling her not to , they made the Fidelity Rep a VP , I asked him how much he made from SHOP stock , he said he couldn't say. I told them multiple times do not sell my SHOP stock and multiple times what it would do
I like Fidelity a lot and now even feel even more safe with my investments after watching this video .
