#SSSApproved | How to apply for SSS Retirement Benefit thru My.SSS

The Social Security System (SSS) of the Philippines is a government agency that provides social insurance, retirement, and health benefits to its members. One of the benefits that members can avail of is the retirement benefit, which provides financial assistance to retired individuals.

The SSS has made it easier for its members to apply for retirement benefits through its online portal called My.SSS. This online platform allows members to conveniently access their SSS records and transact with the agency without having to visit a physical SSS branch. If you are approaching retirement age and would like to apply for SSS retirement benefits, here’s a simple guide on how to do it through My.SSS:

1. Create or login to your My.SSS account
If you already have an existing My.SSS account, simply log in using your user ID and password. If you don’t have an account yet, you can create one by visiting the official SSS website and clicking on the “Register” button. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the registration process.

2. Go to the E-Services tab and select “Apply for Retirement”
Once you’re logged in to your My.SSS account, go to the E-Services tab and look for the option to “Apply for Retirement.” Click on this option to start your retirement benefit application.

3. Fill out the retirement benefit application form
You will be asked to fill out a retirement benefit application form, which will require you to provide personal information such as your SSS number, contact details, and banking information for the disbursement of your benefits. Make sure to double-check the information you provide to avoid any delays in the processing of your application.

4. Submit the required documents
After completing the application form, you will need to submit the necessary documents to support your retirement benefit claim. These documents may include a copy of your birth certificate, SSS ID or UMID, and other supporting documents required by the SSS. You can either upload these documents directly to your My.SSS account or submit them to the nearest SSS branch.

5. Wait for the approval of your application
Once you have completed the online application and submitted the required documents, the SSS will process your retirement benefit application. You can regularly check the status of your application through your My.SSS account to see if it has been approved.

By following these simple steps, SSS members can easily apply for retirement benefits through My.SSS. This streamlined process allows members to conveniently access and manage their SSS benefits, making it more convenient and efficient for retirees to avail of the financial assistance they deserve. So if you’re approaching retirement age, be sure to take advantage of this online service and secure your SSS retirement benefits. #SSSApproved

I already successfully submitted my father's Retirement Claim application last December 20. It has been 8 days since I submitted it but until now wala pa rin po kaming mareceive na email or notification to know kung ano na ang status ng application. How long does it usually take po? Is my case normal po ba? I am hoping for a response from SSS. Thank you!

Hi, I applied for my Retirement pension last February 07, 2023. I also submitted my bank account details where my monthly pension and my back pay pension should be credited which is the Landbank. I also finished with Disbursement Account Employment Module (DAEM) which I was told to do. I was informed that I will receive my pension from the day I reached my 60th birthday. Up to this date I never received any single centavo. How long do I still have to wait before I received my long awaited pension? I will be turning 67 years old in the next five months and as a senior citizen I also want to enjoy my pension. Your immediate attention to my query is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.
