MAINE RULE GEORGIA! – The One Way to Salvage What’s Left of the Peach State

Georgia, the Peach State, has long been recognized for its southern charm, historical significance, and natural beauty. From the bustling city of Atlanta to the picturesque coastal areas and the rolling hills of the Appalachian Mountains, Georgia offers a diverse range of attractions. However, recent political turmoil and inadequate governance have threatened to tarnish the state’s reputation. In light of the current situation, one radical solution has emerged – “Maine Rule Georgia.”

Maine Rule Georgia, a concept conceived by political analysts and concerned citizens, proposes that Georgia should adopt the principles and policies of the state of Maine. Why Maine? While the two states may seem vastly different at first glance, Maine’s political landscape offers lessons that can help Georgia regain its footing.

At its core, Maine Rule is characterized by good governance, an emphasis on environmental protection, commitment to social justice, and bipartisan politicking. These principles have made Maine a shining example of stable governance and economic growth, despite its smaller population size compared to Georgia.

One of the key tenets of Maine Rule Georgia is the focus on effective governance. Georgia has faltered in this area, with multiple instances of political instability and a lack of transparency. Adopting Maine’s example would mean establishing a responsive, accountable, and inclusive government. Collaboration among parties and open dialogue with the public can ensure that the voices of all Georgians are heard.

Additionally, environmental protection is paramount under Maine Rule. Georgia is home to stunning natural resources, such as the Okefenokee Swamp and the Appalachian Trail. However, these treasures have faced threats from unrestricted development and industrial activities. By implementing Maine’s robust environmental regulations, Georgia can protect its beautiful landscapes, promote sustainable practices, and ensure the well-being of future generations.

Social justice is another crucial aspect of Maine Rule. Georgia has grappled with divisive issues, including discrimination, voter suppression, and income inequality. Adopting Maine’s balanced approach to social justice can help Georgia bridge those divides, promote equality, and foster a sense of unity. Maine’s commitment to inclusivity and respect for diversity is a model that Georgia should strive to emulate.

Furthermore, Maine Rule Georgia aims to overcome the perpetual gridlock between political parties. In recent years, Georgia politics have been marked by partisan battles and ideological divides, hindering progress and hindering effective policymaking. By fostering an environment of compromise and bipartisanship, Georgia can break free from this deadlock and move towards a brighter future.

The concept of Maine Rule Georgia may seem radical to some, but desperate times call for innovative solutions. If Georgia is to salvage what’s left of its reputation and address the pressing challenges it faces, a new approach to governance is undoubtedly needed. By adopting ideas and principles from Maine, Georgia can revitalize its political landscape, reignite economic growth, and preserve its natural beauty.

Maine Rule Georgia provides a vision for a state that is environmentally conscious, socially just, and economically prosperous. It is a call for Georgians to come together, transcend party lines, and work towards a shared future. The time for change has come, and the potential benefits of this bold initiative should not be overlooked. The Peach State can once again reclaim its position as a shining example of good governance and become a beacon of hope for the nation.

Republicans would be smart to do this in Virginia if they get a trifecta there in 2023.

  2. Ben Jones

Put Georgia's 5th, 4th and 13th house seats, into a Georgia 2nd (Atlanta district) with a population of 2.3 million and give it Presidential 4 points (definite – D) and the rest of Georgia with 12.
Maybe the same should be done for NOVA as Washington DC is having a skewed effect on the State.

If you dont count the states that went blue because of mass amounts of election & voter fraud, the Dems have California, Illinois, New York, New Jersey, Washington ? If you thought 2020 was a MASSIVE MASSIVE Trump Landslide, you ain't seen nothing yet.

  5. 10 Hawell

Each state should have permanent and anthropologically based districts that would send electors bypassing the state level – get rid of the winner takes all.
This would weaken the leverage of states but increase the leverage of regions in the states.

  6. John Liang

There was an incredible fraud in Fulton county

  7. Based Alaskan

Georgia will someday be the Illinois of the South and Atlanta will be like Chicago.

  8. Lisa Knight

Ga will not stay blue…voter fraud!!!!!

  9. Kaiman

No we can‘t afford to lose Georgia

  10. MegaTechpc

I'm a born and raised Georgian and I just don't buy what you are saying. If GA (Atlanta) really has lurched so far to the left then why were counties like Fulton so compelled to cheat like we saw in Nov? There is no doubt in my mind that they were pulling some massive shenanigans to drag Biden over the finish line but why did they need to if GA is already (supposedly) so far gone? Keep in mind those trend numbers include all of those magic mail-in ballots that mysteriously appeared in the dead of night while the counting was supposed to be stopped…

  11. Fishers of Men

Bro they made up 600k votes from 2016-2020, they cheated in GA big time. You know its true you just dont want a YouTube ban.

  12. FDR

I live in DFW and a lot of ppl moving here aren't voting democrat anymore once they come from democrat state However, we can't let the left to get away with demonizing every republican candidate and thats what they did fo 4 years

  13. Nathan Li

We can only take the northeast(except New Hampshire perhaps) if we can get a surrogate of rich, well educated, soft spoken, country club republicans like Sununu and Collins that are both socially and economically moderate. That is what New Englanders and the white college voters eat up. Maybe not as good as people like Hawley but that is better than people like Warren or Sanders.

  14. lisar3006

You can't say what Georgia did in 2020 because of the vote fraud. We all saw the video of suitcases full of phony ballots being dumped into voting machines at 3am. If you could get a true investigation into the 2020 election I guarantee Trump won Georgia.

  15. drf81

I hope the gas shortage will wake the people of Georgia up. They can now see what you get when you put Democrats in charge.

  16. Troy Thomas

Your analysis is based on numbers from the fraud count. Joe Biden didn't win GA AZ WI MI or PA.

  17. Tana Hiveley

Well those numbers in Georgia are all completely phony! The election was so rigged it isn’t even worth the wait and time.

  18. Nathaniel Abbott

If you were to make a machine to analyze electoral maps and strategize victory it would look like REP

  19. TJamesBoone

A variation on the Maine rule would be better. Instead of rewarding the two "At-large" electors to the winner of the popular vote in Georgia, award them to the candidate who wins the most districts.

  20. Andro K.

The GOP should just win with a good candidate. I disagree with splitting.

  21. Kevin Brown

wait a minute I thought Trump's win was stolen in GA according to Sidney powell and lin wood

  22. Beagle Boi

0:56 just to clear up confusion Georgia never was a ruby red state like Alabama or West Virginia they voted Red from 1996 to 2016 but before that they did go back and forth mostly Democrat and a one time thing with 64 to 3rd party in 68 voted for Carter in 76 and 80 in Reagan's landslide to Clinton in 92 so it never was a Republican strong hold it was like what North Carolina is where it's red but not overwhelmingly red also for the Senators 2002 was the first time since 1872 that Georgia had voted for Republican senators same for Governor. So really it was never a Republican stronghold

  23. Penguins Fan

    Well, the GOP is dumb.

There are some wild cards. Inflation is surging. Democrat overreach tends to bite them in the butt. Biden is brain dead. Harris is a dufus. DeSantis is more likely than Trump to be the 2024 nominee.
Pennsylvania, however, may be gone. I live in Western PA. If PA could be split, Western and Central PA would be a GOP stronghold.
However almost all population growth is in suburban Philly and southeastern PA will turn PA into another New York State.

  24. Anonarchist

The Reps should introduce the Louisiana top two rule that way at least if a Dem wins it won't be a bat shit insane Dem. Stacy Abraham could win in a Dem primary but she could never win against a moderate Dem in a top two primary.

  25. Patrick C

I don’t get it with Georgia!!! I mean, Florida has been growing for years due to migration from other states, so why no leftward drift there?? Because of the Cuban-Americans?

  26. SayItLouderForThePeopleInTheBack Please

Please note, people work from vehicles ( Mercedes transits turned into RV or campers, and they are gorgeous)….point is, all they need to do is claim a home-base with a PO box and car tag, then they vote from that state. Rich Microsoft employees from Bellevue, WA are doing this claiming MONTANA as their "home state" and will absentee vote from there. I know at least 20 or so people doing exactly this…

  27. SayItLouderForThePeopleInTheBack Please

Look for Montana(4) & Idaho(4) to go blue. Massive California migration. Exactly what happened to Colorado 2008; silicon valley moving there.
    PLUS……….

  28. Sam Costley

Sounds like what you really want is to get rid of the electoral college… as a liberal from rural Georgia I could not agree more

  29. The Political Analyst

Stop going off polls and data from the Trump era and from the 2020 election that took place during the pandemic. Trump stirred the pot on both sides and in the middle plus the pandemic caused people to vote differently than they normally would. Huge Factors!
