THERE WILL BE NO RECESSION!!

Amidst concerns of a looming recession, experts are now suggesting that the economy may be more resilient than previously thought. According to a recent report by economic analysts, the current data does not support the likelihood of a recession in the near future.

This is welcome news for businesses and consumers alike, who have been bracing for the potential impact of an economic downturn. The report points to several factors contributing to the strength of the economy, including robust consumer spending, low unemployment rates, and steady growth in key industries.

While there are still challenges to be faced, such as global trade uncertainties and geopolitical tensions, the overall outlook for the economy appears to be positive. This prediction is a relief for many who have been concerned about the potential implications of a recession on their livelihood and financial security.

It is important to note that economic forecasts are subject to change, and it is essential to remain cautious and proactive in managing finances and investments. However, the news of a potential recession’s absence is a cause for optimism and renewed confidence in the economic outlook.

CAN YOU BELIEVE THESE MENU PRICES?

In other news, consumers have been left in shock by recent price hikes at some of their favorite eateries. Many have taken to social media to express their disbelief and frustration at the sudden and significant increases in menu prices.

Restaurants and fast-food chains have cited rising costs of ingredients and operating expenses as the reason for the price increases. However, some customers feel that the adjustments are disproportionate and difficult to justify. The sudden change has sparked debate and sparked concern among consumers who are already feeling the strain of a challenging economic environment.

As consumers continue to adjust to these changes, some are calling for transparency and understanding from their favorite establishments. Others are seeking out alternatives or revising their dining habits to accommodate the new prices.

It remains to be seen how the industry will respond to the backlash and whether these pricing adjustments will have a lasting impact on consumer behavior. For now, diners are left to grapple with the surprising reality of higher prices for their favorite meals.

No, it's not just you. I also live in SD County but in Fallbrook so I typically shop in Temecula. Sticker shock hit me about 9 months ago when I met my sister for breakfast and I noticed most of the omelets and such were around $17; which means $50 for two people out the door. I've cut way back on meals out. I will treat myself to In N Out once a month…still kind of a bargain.

Take some electrolytes with your water fast so you do not feel weak. Unflavored LMNT is one brand without any calories of artificial sweeteners.

I think buying food items that are priced like that will harm more than your wallet, it harms your self respect. If I were to buy that ice cream, whether or not I can afford it, I will be regretting it for a week ! The taste will not overpower that feeling
I have better things to spend on than some ones joke of an ice cream price

  4. @PatrickAllen-yi9us

There's a food truck near me selling a cheeseburger for $16.00. Absolutely ridiculous. You would figure there would be lower overhead with a food truck and prices would be lower.

Come on man. Do better. That churro wasn’t just for a single churro. I was for a churro Sunday.
    Please stop the gaslighting.

  6. @arag7023

We're already in a recession heading into a full on depression. They're lying to us on a daily basis.

  7. @janaek374

Waiting patiently for the closeout sales! This crash will be epic!

  8. @dominickmasonry3878

The prices probably are because the business has reached its credit ceiling too.

Five Guys – bought 2 cheeseburgers, fries and one milkshake. Was nearly 40 dollars and they did the iPad flip for a tip as well. Waldo's chicken – 40 dollars for 2 baskets of chicken tenders, fries, biscuits and 1 drink with the now standard iPad flip for tip. Won't be going there anymore. Keep it up and they will soon be out of a job.

How many brownies could you make at home for $9.50? I'd say about 5-6 8×8 dishes.

Remember when back in the day it used to be popular to say as California goes so does the rest of the country. Now it's popular to make fun of California. Whenever it's not hot rods, pretty girls, and surfing it's no longer the narrative.

Taking electrolytes will help with your 3 day fast. Salt and baking soda (sodium bicarbonate). Google diy oral rehydration solution or ors.

It’s hard to treat your family when every where you go it’s $100 here $100 there!

  17. @lance7973

Great that you’re doing the 72-hour fast, JJ. When you’re hungry, take a pinch of sea salt, or put some in your water. Avoid juice, which breaks your fast. I’m gonna do another fast really soon.

  22. @Bobgrapes25

Why does everyone call it a recession? Look at the numbers of unemployed and homeless people. Define it right. A chronic DEPRESSION!!

  23. @steverunswithscissors

Just over half price here in FL for similar items. Wages are less but for now we haven't lost as much freedom as CA residents

  24. @K.R.98

We are all here to learn.
Young people were raised in an era of abundance. Because of that they need to experience stuff to become more demure again.

We often think we are so different and in some aspects that may be true, but it is up to each of us to make the best of everything we are given.

Maybe we can build everything up again. I think one of the most important things is to teach more practical stuff again and get people to live more in reality and not on social media platforms

  25. @Synistercrayon

I went to have lunch at a low priced country kitchen the other day.
The last time that I went there, a big ol lunch was about 10 bucks.
The other day, it was $18.
    Did not expect that…damn

  26. @H2R5GSXR

I enjoy taking the ferry over to Sea Port just to people-watch and grab an expensive snack. It's the location and they can charge whatever they want.

  27. @user-qb8qm4mp5n

It's good you're fasting. Those menu prices are insane. I feel like this is '08 all over again, but this time it's different. Rent prices are insane. Maybe they're saying it feels like a recession but it's not really a recession because the recession is a couple years down the road. Hope you get better soon.

  28. @financeeconomics1057

Those are crazy prices. Walk out. Nothing is reasonably priced.

Even the prices at most fast food/quickie marts are half of that.

  29. @therealcirclea762

    What will change it?

Scarcity. It will reignite the competition drive in our species and, after another series of hardships, the valley will be passed, and another golden-age, or peak will occur.

Think waves; frequency based on information transmission rate and distance. It's nothing new because our essential biology and selection processes have changed hardly at all in 300,000 years. Our tech has changed, and thus our information exchange rate and distance but…

We are just entering the valley. That's all.

  30. @william78583

After 5 days of fasting you will have no desire for solid food. Be careful and not drink too much orange juice you can get kidney stones, when you break your your and get your normal appetite back you will just eat more than you did before you fast. I hope this is something you are doing under a Doctor’s supervisio n.
