Destiny 2 – THE ISSUE NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT! Vanguards Struggle, Factions Leave, Consensus, MORE!

As Destiny 2 continues to evolve and expand, there is one major issue that seems to be overlooked by many players and critics alike. That issue is the struggle of the Vanguard, the departure of factions, and the lack of a true Consensus within the game.

The Vanguard, made up of Zavala, Ikora Rey, and Cayde-6 (may he rest in peace), have long been the guiding force within the world of Destiny. They have given players their marching orders, provided support in battles, and offered wisdom and insight into the ongoing conflicts that plague the universe. However, in recent times, the Vanguard has been struggling to maintain its authority and influence.

With the loss of Cayde-6 and the constant threats facing the Last City, Zavala and Ikora Rey have found it increasingly difficult to keep control of the situation. Guardians are acting more independently, making decisions on their own, and often disregarding the orders of the Vanguard. This lack of unity and cohesion among the Guardians has led to a fracture within the ranks and a weakening of the Vanguard’s power.

In addition to the struggles of the Vanguard, another major issue that has been overlooked is the departure of the factions. In the past, factions like New Monarchy, Dead Orbit, and Future War Cult have played significant roles in the Destiny universe, offering unique gear, quests, and storylines for players to engage with. However, in Destiny 2, the factions have been largely absent, leaving a noticeable void in the game’s lore and gameplay experience.

The absence of the factions has also contributed to the lack of a true Consensus within the game. The Consensus, made up of the Vanguard leaders and representatives from each faction, was meant to be a governing body that would guide the decisions of the Guardians and oversee the defense of the Last City. However, with the factions gone and the Vanguard struggling, the Consensus has become little more than a shell of its former self, unable to effectively address the many challenges facing the Guardians.

It is clear that Destiny 2 is facing a crisis of leadership and unity, with the Vanguard struggling to maintain control, the factions leaving, and the Consensus floundering. If these issues are not addressed soon, the fate of the Last City and all of humanity may be at risk. Guardians must come together, support one another, and stand united against the threats that seek to destroy them. Only then can the true potential of Destiny 2 be realized and the universe saved from darkness.

And here another problem The vanguard has no military and no government why where are they?????

I remember the faction competitions. I felt it added to the dynamics of the city, and guardians. Now, it is nothing more than a reason of fracturing humanity. Outside aliens are more willing to work with humanity than our own people. I feel the leadership structure of humanity will turn into a war table with our previous enemies. Dead Orbit may find darkness on their exodus, much like Calus. Watch for them to return corrupted…

I always saw Zavala as someone behind a disk ,pepper work kinda guy ,idk he doesn't give me leader/captain vibe,Ikora seems much better at it in recent seasons but in more cold and slower manner (than Zevala?)+ we see more action from her ,Zevala at this point is in the sidelines .
Still salty about Cayde's death btw.

The thing I still don't understand how zavala has no connection to mara, I get that when a guardian rises they do so anew, but I would think mara would have known him in before he stood has a guardian.

I believe that this autocracy of the vanguard is fundamentally against the light, the city needs Democracy because if the right of the strongest rules, then the Darkness has already won.

  6. @PeeGeeThirteen

it feels that everything from Destiny 1 is being stripped down and overly simplified for the current Seasonal DLC structure.
    I prefer Destiny 1's structure

Guardians are gonna fall by the end of the dlc timeline I swear

Introduce some people for the hunter vanguard like Shiro or Efrideed ( if she is not dead) and have a faction game style for us to vote on who the next hunter vanguard leader will be.

  9. @specter324thefallen6

They might make the next season part where the vanguard will make crow the new hunter vanguard

  10. @DefinitelyFroggyDioBrando

We should replace Zavala with Saint-14 as Titan vanguard and make Zal the Strike commander instead. Saint-14 makes good choices and Zavala is a fucking idiot.

  11. @DefinitelyFroggyDioBrando

Hmmm maybe we should make the new class vanguard a SKILLED guardian of this class. Also… The drifter is the new hunter vanguard.

  12. @SOMA-gj4xc

I mean Drifter was saying it for a long time, Vanguard is not long for this world.

    New consensus:
    The vanguard
Cabal empress (Or one chosen by her to represent cabal)
    Eido or mithrax for eliksni
    New city Voice

  14. @andymehmet8206

Probably took them out the city so it loads in quicker

  15. @arakemi1080

i do believe that no hunter wants to replace cayde, not out of how hard the job will be, or how boring it will become to be a leader, but out of respect.
i have respect for the hunters that dont bitch about an advantage that allowed them to win without using their brain whatsoever, or how their stasis got slightly nerfed and now its ''useless''.
or the hunters who dont sweat at everything and leave when someone dies due to a glitch, thus kicking everyone out of the raid's final encounter (this happened to me).
i have a lot of things i can say, about hunters, but i wont because that would have me sit up till 5 am and write, and honestly i have to go to work tomorrow so yeah. good night and have a great day.
