Great video bud, quick question how much percentage do you split the $6,000 to your investments? Or all investments gets an equal percentage of your $6000.

  6. Henning Bochenek

Your recommendation is simply ridiculous. According to you stocks only go up. This is the dumbest thing to teach, especially when markets are overheating.
Guess you will learn the hard way this year

Thank you for another great content! I have a question I am in my mid 40s and just opened a new ROTH IRA. This is what I came up with:

    VTI 50%

SCHD 15% (added for dividend purposes)

    VXUS 15%

REITs 10% (custom portfolio with about 1o reits)

    BND 10%

Please let me know what you think of this. Do I need SCHD/REITS? Allocation %? Thank you so much for all your videos!!!

Hello Oscar! We've had money in our fidelity account just sitting there because we have no idea what to add to the roth ira last year we ran into the same problem so we threw in the 6k allowance into a target date fund. We have about 20k we want to invest which means we can put the 6k for 2021 in roth account and invest in something else outside of the roth. This is where we get stuck. We know we want to invest in index fund, dow, and nasdaq but which one of these do we want in the roth account ?

Good video. Just be careful not to say ‘I guarantee you’re gonna make a lot of money.’ Some people might follow your advice and come back and call you on your guarantee when their fund dips…

Wow, this is what I needed! You made me feel like I had a friend giving me advice. Thank you so much!

Thank you for this content, but I'm a bit confused how is it that your going to deposit 12,000 if from what I understand the limit is 6,000? For the roth ira

  12. Manny Ortigoza

How do I pick the nasdq you are talking about? Do I click on the buy icon? And can I change it to a secure growth if I wanted to? Is there a time limit to choosing a topic?

  13. Bing bong

When you roll over the employer 401k into your Roth IRA don’t you lose the employer match and the possible 19,000 a year you could possibly stuff into it? Or do you get to keep your 401k and just let it rebuild up again and then roll it over the next year into your IRA? I was pretty confused on this part.

Can I paper invest different strats?

How do I put the index funds into my Roth IRA account? I bought the index funds already but they are in my regular trade account and not my Roth IRA. I've been trying to figure out how to invest in my Roth IRA? I was advised not to put CASH into the Roth IRA account but to invest with index funds. Please advise. Thank you.

Hello Oscar, so I am trying to expand my portfolio as a Roth Ira. When buying Mutual Funds, do I have to buy it for the full price or can I do fractional buys? Similar to robinhood if you are familiar.

  22. Gloria Mizhquiri

Hello, great video I had one question what if I wanted to add the NASDAQ both to my Roth IRA and my individual Brokerage account? Would that be okay or should I just add it to one?

  23. Kenny Skywalker

Please forgive my ignorance but does the $6000 limit make money for me? If I was to put $6000 in January does that have the opportunity to increase throughout the year?

  24. Kay

    Great video.
    1) What are your thoughts high-growth aggressive if you're in your 40 yrs old?
    2) at time of this vid did you have all of your $6k the fidelity nasdaq comp?
    3) do you plan to continue to fund just that one fund yr after yr? Do you plan to buy into other funds?

  25. Ash Gonzalez

Should you switch index funds after inventing into them?

Thanks for making great tutorial, I haven't allocated my roth IRA to a specific index fun but I was considering the Nasdaq that you pointed out. Any suggestions if I should wait for the Market to settle down or should I allocate next week?

  31. Canis Amator

So how do I actually go about investing my RothIra from my credit union to Fidelity?

  32. Canis Amator

What do you mean taxes on a Roth IRA? I'm investing my after tax income I thought? This was VERY VERY helpful! I'm 52 and just started a Roth IRA a couple years ago but just have it sitting in my credit union account earning like $4 a year. I didn't understand that I'm supposed to be investing that $. It's up to $16k now so it's time to start getting serious! I also have another retirement account from when I was a teacher that's up to $32k and was wondering if I should put all my funds together in Fidelity.

  33. Cristian Valadez

If i am starting with a Target Date Fund is that all i need or can i invest in the S&P 500, NASDAQ too?

  34. Sarona Arzoumanian

Wow. This video was very informational. Thank you so much. Keep it going!!!
